Hot Cocoa, Plaid, and Snowflake Nail Art

 Press Sample

So January is a weird month. Nail art is kind of whatever you want! But I’m not quite at florals, but still in winter and snow moods. Again, no snow yet! Just an hour of pretty flurries. But that snowy mood is what made me want to do this art!

The inspiration for this art was one I saw on Pinterest. It wasn’t linked but I could see it was from NBNailArt, who I found on Instagram. Love the idea of snow, plaid, and hot cocoa. All those things remind me of winter!

I’m not a huge red nail gal but I loved wearing this, to my surprise! Here were the rest of the colors.

  • Red base: Morgan Taylor Don’t Break My Corazón, 2 coats
  • Beige base: Lechat Dare to Wear French Vanilla, 3 coats
  • Brown: Zoya Foster
  • Dark red: Morgan Taylor Angling for a Kiss
  • Gold: Lechat Dare to Wear Electric Daisy
  • Black: Stella Chroma New Moon
  • White: KBShimmer White Here White Now

So since this was red nails, I figured I would remove this in a day or two. Well, I wore it for like a week. I really wanted to matte this because I know it would’ve looked amazing but I pulled the same old issue where I wore it for a full week and just kept forgetting to put on matte topcoat. I had growth and some chips so it just would not have looked nice in photos.

In addition, I have to mention, that while this is a stunning red and great formula, it of course stained my nails. I used a lint free wipe, cuticle remover, and a cuticle clipper. LOL. But wow, I just love wearing this red!

I just love how these came out. And yes, I had the same nails on my right hand too!
